Has anyone had any problems with their active handling system? I took mine to the dealer because I was getting a light saying to service my AHS. The dealer tells me this is a common problem among 2005-2007 Corvettes and Caddy XLR's, and that GM has not come up with a fix. I thought, OK, well I can deal with an idiot light periodically coming on. This morning, I pulled into my work parking lot, on wet pavement, and the car locks up, and I get the actual active handling system kick in and make the car almost impossible to drive. I flatbedded it to the dealer and am waiting to hear that it won't do it for them and they can't find anything wrong. Anyone else have a similar experience?
I had the light pop-up on me one day. The next day it didn't come on anymore. Took it to the dealer anyway just to be sure (and I needed a service too so...).
They told me it needed a sensor replaced. I'm still waiting for it but the light hasn't come on anymore.
Just dropped my 05 off to the dealer this morning for that problem and roof recall. The active hand. dic was on so when i got there i did not turn off the car.The vette service guy came out and put the GM computer on it and got the codes. If you don't have the service active hand. light on when you bring it in they cannot pull codes. So if your light is on run over to your dealer and get it checked, even if you don't leave it there you will have the codes for when you do bring it back.
Well guys, thanks for the help! I did a search, found a post with a similiar problem, and solution, and was able to get the dealer to fix it without alot of headache. This board rocks!

This is an issue with the connector on the telescopic steering on mine. Pops up ocassionally. Usually resets itself on restart, but still a pain in the a**.
If the dealer can't read the code, it's because he is trying with the wrong tool. Had one dealer tell me he couldn't read it, then another dealer that day tried and couldn't read it with one tool, but got a newer one and read 3 codes.....1 for steering wheel angle sensor, 1 for loss of communication, and 1 just to throw the warning up.
Seems like Chevy could just add a little more wire in the telescopic steering column. Have they done this yet?
