Default Random Low DIC message?

Has anyone ever seen Random Low appear on their DIC? I had this happen last night on my 07 Coupe. It appeared shortly after startup and was on for a few minutes and then low fuel appeared. I am worried there is problem but the message was wiped out when the low fuel message came on as it should have. Appreciate any info on the Random Low message. Thanks in advance as always.

That phrase does not appear in the 2007 owner's manual. I searched for it in the copy of the manual I have on my PC.

Default Red flag...

If you're receiving a random low DIC message, I suggest seeing a urologist as soon as possible.

When you select the fuel range to display on your DIC, it will read, "low" when you're low (somewhere below 30 miles, I think). Then, when you get really low, the DIC will give you the full text low fuel warning no matter which display you've selected.

thanks you may be on to something. My son used the car and I think the fuel range was displayed on the DIC which is not something I normally do. I received the random low first and then the low fuel.

I find this curious, and can't figure out what the word "random" has to do with anything. From the capitalization in the initial post, it appears the the word "random" showed up, not simply that the word "low" randomy appeared, right?

You are correct and I can't figure out what the RANDOM part of the message has to do with anything. The message that appeared on the DIC was RANDOM LOW.

Maybe the computer is telling you that your stops at gas stations are too random for its tastes! If you're gonna drive a computer, ya gotta behave!
