Default 2LT vs. 3LT

My question is a 2007 3LT worth the $5000 cost over the 2LT on a convertible? Thanks for any input.

2G of that is power top, which I expressly did not want. One of the reasons I bought an 06. I think the rest of the option has value - especially the HUD. Too bad you can't get each option seperately...

2 thousand seems high for a power top but what do you do if you want the 3 LT package?

You're the only one who can decide that. Here's what you get when you move up from 2LT to 3LT in a vert.

HomeLink
HUD
Memory Package
Mirror, autodimming & compass
Power telescoping steering column
Seats, heated
Stereo, Bose premium audio/CD 6-disc changer
XM Satellite radio
Power top

I've been going thru the same - looking at what I really get with various option on the VERT.

I've got my order being submitted this week. I'm thinking that for value and what's important to me, the 3LT makes sense. My car will be Vert, z51, 3LT.

When I look at the price of wheel upgrades, NAV, on-star and other pricey add-ons, just did not seem like a value. For me these add-ons were not as important as the Z51 and 3LT and the MSRP on the car did not max out.

I went with the 2LT. The only thing I wanted int he 3LT package was HUD and i was not going to pay 5 grand forit. I am sure there will be a DIY HUD like the C5's soon enough, the sport is already recessed for it in the dash.

I was not confident GM got the power top right and it looks like a mixed bag looking here. I got EXACTLY the car i wanted a 2007 VY 6 speed vert with chrome wheels for 50 k out the door almost 3 months ago. Would not have it any other way. When i go to sell in 3-5 years i guarantee the difference in price between mine and a 3lt will be closer to 500 bucks than 5000. I think there will always be a demand in the used market for a 6 Speed Yellow C6 convertible. The used market is a lot different than the new market. You are looking at a younger demographic to sell to

Unless you HAVE to have the power top get the 2lt and put the money you save into Z51 or something useful

I got the 2lt vert for only one reason--they wouldn't make a 1lt.

I have 07 black 2LT. The radio sound is far better in the 3LT if thats important to you ! My 02 Torch red C5 was fully loaded and I miss the Bose radio sound. Just my 2 Cents

I would get it loaded if you can afford it.

When I bought my '05, my budget appreciated the lower cost of the 1SA (2LT) equipped coupe.
