Has anybody used CLEARTASTIC paint protection? Good product or should I just get a bra?

Cleartastic does not make a front end mask/bra kit (mainly because there is no adhesive). Only the lower portions like the lower rocker in front of the rear wheels, behind front and back wheels...

For the front end you mean 3m or Avery films. Many have used it here and liked it.

I have the cleartastic film on my Black Coupe behind each wheel well opening and on the door sills. Its been on since April '06 and I haven't had any problems with it coming off. It's barely noticeable but there are a few air bubbles. You have to look for them to see them. Just follow the installation instructions and you shouldn't have any problems with them staying on. Wash gently and don't directly spray at the seams of the film when washing the car. You probably won't notice any air bubbles on a light color.

I recommend Cleartastic and hope that they offer something for the nose in the future. It is a better alternative to splash guards/mud flaps IMO. Splash guards will cause clearance problems and I will not drill into my car to install splash guards. Clip-on splash guards will rub and wear the paint and will fly off if they come into contact with the ground, speed bumps, lifts etc.

I use a GM Bra on the nose just for long trips.

Default Love Cleartastic !

Wow, very surprised to hear that Volker had some trouble. I'm really
really satisfied with the product. I bought the C6 kit as soon as I got
my '05. Didn't have any trouble, though after about 11 months, I lost
one piece and to this day I suspect someone might have taken if off
the car. I just took a 1000 mile trip from Delaware to New Hampshire,
speeds up to 95 mph in pouring rain, and had no problem with adhesion.

By the way, after one year, I got an entirely new C6 set because they
redesigned it -- now NO overlaps at all, really fantastic appearance.
Great instructions.

I think I like it so much because you don't make any commitment -- just
peel it off or put it on whenever you want. If you follow instructions
to the letter, including letting it dry for 4 hours or more before driving
the car, it will never fall off.

I have a speed lingerie bra that I use for long trips only, but I never
take the cleartastic off. Definitely try it - at least if you do not like it,
you can peel it off anytime with no harm done, unlike a gooey adhesive
product. Wish I could put this stuff on my nose also, but none is made
for the c6 nose.

Plenty of pics and stuff on
my web page - click on "PROTECTION".

also my photobucket - you can see how invisible this stuff is:
clicky clicky. No, I don't work for cleartastic, I just get all emotional when
I find a good product .

Default Cleartastic Is Fantastic

Cleartastic is the Best Product for Lower Body Protection. It was installed since June 05 on my DSOM C6. I love it for you can remove it anytime to apply fresh Zaino or wax of your choice to the entire car...or leave it alone for months. It stays on and provides excellent protection. It is also reasonably priced. For the money there is no better protection.

I've had cleartastics on my 97 show car for approximately 7 show seasons now ( changed after each show season). I go to approximately 15-20 shows a year and have to point them out to the judges just incase they wonder where they are and have never had a problem. this year the car scored 99.5 at the NCCC meet at carlisle and went home in the rain and never lost a piece. dont believe the advertisements in the corvette parts vendors mags where they state "just peel and stick". this isn't the proper way to install them. read the manufacturers instructions that are provided with the product and install accordingly and you woun't have a problem. I also recommend you going the the clerartastic website (www.cleartastic.com) and watch the small prepaired video on the install. If installed properly, they shouldn't come off. by the way, when i install mine, i wait 24 hours for them to dry before i drive the car. wcj

Default Great product

Yeah, I've had good results...I have a couple of hundred miles of interstate milage (some in some pretty good rains) and they're still on there. It is much easier to clean the car too...most things tend to come right off of that stuff unlike the paint which gets pitted...Good product...just take your time and INSTALL THEM PROPERLY!
