Can you get the instrumentation to display (gas gauge, battery, DIC (oil temp etc) without starting the car?

If a car used a key that can be turned to the accessory position, the instruments get activated. How can you do that on the C6 w/o starting the car?

Default Accy Mode

You can use the windows and radio but can't access the DIC or activate the gauges?

Is it possible to look at gauges with car NOT on?

If you push at the bottom of the start button AND HOLD for about six seconds, it should do what you want.

You can even program the DIC.

The shop manual calls it ignition on engine off mode.
