I also don't like it when people tell others that their post is a duplicate or when they tell them to do a search. I usually only read the newest threads because I like most current information. Doing a search for something is usually hard, because every single thread with your keywords will show up. There are also new forum members joining everyday.

I did not realize that was incorrect until I attended a C6 event at West Coast Corvette.
Heck, at least they tried to show you.

Ya took the words right out of my mouth. Also, don't you like reading new posts and to see new members...someone might have a better up to date solution or trick.

Engine management systems have been doing this since the mid-90s. I know my BMW 540i works this way. I think Lexus did it earlier. It gives over the settings of the engine to the computer. I'm sure there are people who hate it.

Now when I was a kid, in the early 50s, we had a Lincoln(?) or a Chrysler that had push-button start. It also had a pushbutton lubrication system as well - back when cars needed lube systems.

I have done this a few times!!!

I did know the trick with the start button as I just punch the botton and reach for the seatbelt. It is a cool trick to show someone new to the car.
