i've had to charge battery a couple times recently [c5 auto., 2000 coupe , 36000 miles ] . took car to have battery checked and was told the battery is good other than it should have 880 cca and has 695 cca . battery is ,i think, a couple years old . your thoughts would be appreciated . thanks ...peace ..........oh, incidentally , we've driven it about 25 miles in last 5 or 6 weeks .

It must be a replacement battery beause the OE is not 880 CCA.
Just keep it charged. If it still has 695CCA don't worry about. Most automotive batteries are at an 80% state of charge in normal use.

Use a battery tender (search the web or the forum for battery tender). Keeps your battery "fresh"
thanks folks,sorry about being on c6 i thought i was on c5 . i'm not good on computer and had just had a problem on archerytalk.com which frustrated me and lead to my error here . i'll try to be more careful and get the right forum next time . in any case thanks for the replies i'm sure they will solve my problem and i have a 'battery tender' on the car as we speak . . . .peace . . .bc
