Recently I was told that the navigational system has a DVD which only has coverage for ONE state. I thought all nav systems at least covered the US. Sometimes you have to buy other countries ie Canada etc. I have had Honda's and Toyota's and both cover the entire country, not just one state. Could someone shed light on this for me?????
To the best of my knowledge the C6 Nav covers the entire mainland U.S. I know for a fact it doesn't cover Hawaii and while I've been led to believe it would do so by the end of the year, I cannot get that confirmed.

Road trip this summer...
Wifely-unit and I took a roadtrip last June - D/FW to Cleveland and back. Along the way, the NAV system got us to the St Louis Arch, Mark Twain's boyhood home, the Lincoln Museum, Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, Louisville Slugger Factory, Corvette Assembly Plant, Corvette Museum, Loveless Cafe outside Nashville and home. I'm pretty sure most of this stuff was in more than one state.
Whoever told you that there's only one state on the NAV DVD has either never used it or is simply a moron.
Possible the original poster is referring to the different regions on the Nav disc. In Ver 1 in my 05 Vert you need to specify the region of the country you are in and can only navigate within that region. If the final destination is out side of the region you have to navigate into the new region before reentering destination information. Is this the same on the newer versions?

Definitely not true with the current version, and if IIRC that wasn't true with my version 1.0 either
With V2 and V3 you have to go to the right region (on the nav screen - doesn't matter were you are actually located) to put in a destination, but once that's done you can navigate to locations in different regions.

I have a 2007, and there are different regions(5 for the US, and 1 for Canada, I believe). You don't have to wait to get to another region to program a destination there though. It will still figure out the entire route through multiple regions.

and the manual is your friend. To see the system in operation, go to set locations and pick region you want to go to...full data shows this.
