Nav question
Hi,
I'm still trying to figure out my Nav system. I think my home address isn't the right one. I'm not sure how to change it, and when I do, will I be able to see the address on my screen? I've looked in the book, but not sure how to make sure it's the right address.

With the nav screen on go to "Menu" then "stored locations" and you will see a button that says "home." then you have all sorts of options. You can see the list, edit or delete.

Are the boonies not covered on the Nav maps? I live in the outskirts of the boonies and have an 07 with Nav ordered. Hope I can find my way home.

Some areas are mapped out but it will not take the address. Sometimes the Nav lady will tell you she is not able to provide directions but there is an arrow at that point that points in the direction of the waypoint.

You should be able to let the Nav determine where your car is located and then set that location as "Home". On our Chrysler 300C the actual home address cannot be found, but this process worked without error. The Nav calculated an address a little different from what the home builder and city provided.

Sometimes everything seems the same
Sometimes some street names will be missing
Sometimes smaller streets will not be shown
Sometimes the symbol will show you driving parallel to the street, in the dirt
Sometimes guidance will not be provided
Sometimes guidance that is provided will be "interesting", like having me turn the wrong way down a one-way street.
People who expect the nav to be perfect will have a huge disappointment.
People who expect it to be imperfect but extremely useful will be happy.
We've already taken three LOOONG road trips in the car and find the nav to be extremely useful.
Here's hoping that you enjoy your car and your nav as much as we do!
