Nomad....I just looked at your link and....WOW, you did a heck of a job with your new system. A pat on the back is in order.
Unfortunately, the part I really need help with is; how do I remove the door panels to access the speakers, how do I remove the front speaker grill and how do I get access to the rear speakers.
I am hoping someone will post instructions how to get access to each of the speakers. I will then go to Best Buy, get the speakers and go at it.
Crutchfield sells a wire harness adapter that someone in here said fits our speakers (plastic clip on) and has two wires that would go to the speaker. That initially was discussed on the rears. Will it fit the front? Item number on Crutchfield is #12071014.
The Crutchfield site says it wont fit but someone used it and sure would be nice not to cut a wire
The Bose clips are reusable with a solder gun and a little thought. I did a search here for the replacement, and there is very detailed info on door panel removal, rear panel removal, front grill removal. You just need to spend an hour looking for it. I went online to find a wiring diagram for the Bose 07 system to get the pos negs etc correct. PM me if anyone needs it.
Tloon,
I replaced all 5 speakers in an 05 coupe (with BAs) and saw the same improvement that you did... better mids and highs and even slightly better bass. Your post was interesting because many 07 owners reported being happy with the 07 Bose and I couldn't see how only making the sound louder improved the sound quality. Thanks for posting.
