VY and AOM are kewl colors. Of course I am biased towards AOM, but that is life....AOM turns a lot of heads and like VY, the Vette carries the color well. I got cash/black two tone interior, and it just adds to the experience.

Take your pick, you can't go wrong....

I love the Atomic Orange. I saw the AO and a DSOM side by side at Carlisle this year and AO is stunning. DSOM looks to brown next to it. I also saw it with the VY. I love the VY, but I don't know if I could drive it long term. Come to think of it...I could probably say the same thing for AO. I currently have a Magnetic Red and I am considering a 2007. I'm torn between Atomic Orange and Monterey Red. Monterey is a lot like I have now, but I'm afraid AO may be too trendy.

I just placed my order for my 2007 vert. My first color choice was Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic. Unfortunately, they no longer made them in that color so I decided I wanted the Atomic Orange. After seeing the color in this link: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1444898 I initially thought that it looked too bright for me so then I was torn between the Lemans Blue and Monty Red. In the end I ordered the MR.

I've owned a triple black C5 for a little over 2 years and if it wasn't so darn hard to keep clean I would have ordered a triple black C6. I felt I'd have similar issues with the LBM so that's why I chose the MR, although the MR would be tough to keep clean looking as well.

Well, I have still been second guessing myself on the MR choice. I got a call last Friday from a dealership letting me know that they just received an AO with black top and interior. I just got back from going down to look at it this morning and OMG! To me, it is an awesome looking color! It will look even better with the lights blacked out and some black rims on it.

So, it looks like I have finally made up my mind and will be calling my dealer tomorrow to get the color changed on my ordered vert. Luckily it was just ordered last Thursday so I should definitely have time to get the color change in.

To me, the VY is just way to bright. It is a great color for the Vette but it's just not for me.

In the end, what does it matter what other people think of the color of your car? Are they buying it or are you? Get what you like and enjoy!

Why would you care what somebody else thinks of a color? I mean, if everyone here says they like it does that mean that you will, too? Have you seen Atomic Orange yourself? How do you like it? Isn't that all that matters?

If the order was pulled by GM on Thursday, you have until Tuesday for the dealer to make any changes.

I was torn apart between the two colors, so I just bought one of each!

Historically, orange Vettes have not been very popular, and have had limited offerings.
But as others have said, if you like it, that's what counts.

Although color is a very personal thing, I prefer VY to AO by a large margin. I bought DSOM on my '05, but I would not consider AO on a replacement.

could you post some pictures? AO is a fantastic color with black. What's really neat about it is that the curves create shadows showing different hues, creating a depth no other color has, an awesome color

I was set on Atomic Orange until I saw it side by side with VY and Monterrey Red last weekend. AO is much better than the brownish orange it replaces, however I liked the "metallic depth" and vibrance of the Monterrey Red paint. Bottom line is don't commit your hard earned $$$ until you see the colors in person. It's truly a personal gut decision. Do a search on chevrolet.com and go drive to see it. You'll be glad you did IMHO.
