I had been driving my new "07" for about a half an hour when I pulled into the local grocery to pick up a few items. I got back to the car and opened the driver door. I then popped the trunk from the inside button and after loading up, shut the trunk and got back in to fire her up. Well low and behold no instrument cluster lights. Even the ignition button wasn't glowing. I hit the start button and nothing. I hit it a second time and then all of a sudden all of the engine light checks came up and the dials came to life just like when the motor first starts. I hit the start button again and then the engine fires. Shut her down and the same exact thing happened. I drove the car yesterday and purposely made a half a dozen stops. Works perfectly. Was it something I did or is this just one of those quirky things that happens with F-15's???
Yeah, I've had similar incidences. It seems to be the sequence of events. I've had to do just what you did. Sit down with fob in right front pocket - no "green ring". I push start anyway - nothing. I hit ACC and hear the "crickets". Then I hit the Start and she starts.

Could be a quirk but I think more likely sequence of events. I know every time I take the top off I open the car, get in lower the windows, pop the hatch, get out of car, remove top, place in hatch, get back in car and close the door. Beep, beep, beep. The cars thinks I was getting out and left the FOB inside because I never closed the door after getting out to remove the top. I now close the door and open it before getting back in so I don't disturb anyone. It took me a day to figure out why that occured, but once I tracked the sequence of events, it made sense.

I haven't incurred this problem, but wondered why you would open the door to hit the inside button when you can open the trunk with the fob or button above the license plate and that would change your sequence also.
While in the car, avoid opening the door, leaving it open to pump gas, put something in the hatch, etc., then getting back in. It "thinks" you got out, then left a fob in the car.
If you cannot avoid doing this, program the DIC NOT to warn you about leaving a fob in the car.

Seems to me mine had a couple of quirky things happen when I first got mine. After that, all was well. It's almost like the car has to get it out of its system then it works fine from then on. ???
The C6 is best described as a Lap-Top on wheels...expect to have to re-start once in a while, BUT if it happens regularly, take it to you Dealer, something needs a tweak.
