I made an MP3 CD and some of the songs were encoded at 320kbps. The MP3 player had problems decoding these songs and failed to play them in thier entirety. Has anyone else expereinced this? Is there a limitation in the bit rate and sampling rate?
This MP3 player will accept MP3 files that were recorded
on an up to 700 MB CD-R CD. The files can be
recorded with the following fixed bit rates: 32 kpbs,
40 kpbs, 56 kpbs, 64 kpbs, 80 kpbs, 96 kpbs,
112 kpbs, 128 kpbs, 160 kpbs, 192 kpbs, 224 kpbs,
256 kpbs, and 320 kpbs or a variable bit rate.
I never used such a high bit rate as 320, so I can't say.
I have the same problem using Verbatim 32X blanks, so I don't think it's an issue of cheap media. It sounds like the next thing I'll try is slowing down the burn rate.
Good info, thanks. A quick and probably dumb question, but will the C6 nav system read AAC files, or strictly MP3?
Only mps. I rip at 192 Variable bit rate. I also DO NOT use itues for bunrning. I simply select the folders/files in the "Finder" (mac) itunes library and drag and drop. Make sure you're burning preferences are correct i.e. MP3.
Rip CBR (constant bit rate) @ 192 your favorite discs and make sure it stores it in a folder and numbers the track in the "preferences" of the ripper. Once you ripped all the music you want, insert a blank disc. Drag and drop a few folder into the blank disk. Burn it as a DATA disc.
Try it out...let me know.
