Default #1 Fob problem

My #1 Fob isn't working. When I follow the directions in the manual, it states that it's ready to program Fob #4. That's not what I want is it?

Anyone know how to reprogram Fob #1?

Thanks...

I don't think this is correct. I think the dealer only has to program fob no. 1. I've not had experience with having any programmed, but previous posts here seem to indicate that is the case.

This also seems to agree with page 2-6 of the 2006 owner's manual (see below).
To match a new transmitter to your vehicle when
you have a recognized transmitter (two recognized
transmitters are required for Canadian owners),
do the following:
1. The vehicle must be off.
2. Have the recognized and new, unrecognized
transmitters on your person.
3. Go to the rear of the vehicle and insert the vehicle
key into the key cylinder located above the license
plate. See Hatch/Trunk on page 2-14 for more
information on the key cylinder.
4. Open the trunk.
5. Turn the key five times within five seconds.
6. The DIC will display READY FOR FOB #X,
where X can be 2, 3 or 4
.
Bottom line: dealer has to program fob no. 1.

Correct about #2 owner can do. After reading the 2005 owners manual pgs 2-7 and 2-8 it looks as if all Fobs (including #1) can be done by owner (except for Canadian cars). You must clear the memory in 3 separate 10 minute countdown steps, then insert Fob #1 in glove box slot.....sorry if I biffed. I would think that the 06 and 07 would be the same.....but then again, when you assume.......
