It exists! Unfortunately, as it is built by Holden (GM Australia), we don't get it stateside.
The Holden is sweet, and I wish they brought it here, but it's too plebian and sedan-like to be a "super GT." And it's too highly-tuned to be the affordable mid-size V8 sedan we should have.
Unless you want a 5,000 pound truck or a plasticky turtle shell subcompact (F-body), I don't think there's much hope for a Corvette-powered four-seater.
Yeah um, er right.
They can put it next to the Corvette station wagon model on the showroom floor. (It has genuine simulated woodgrain on the sides) :U
Or they could park it next to the Corvette mini van model (it seats 6 and has a video player to keep the kids occupied on thoose long trips) :U
Or they could put it next to the Corvette Z-71 pick-um-up truck model. (This ones got lockout hubs, a headache rack, a grille gaurd and an electric winch up front) :U
You know, on second thought, maybe they should just forget about fixing something that is not broke.
Using the Vette chassis as a base to replace the antiquated Camero/Firebird platform is, to me, a good idea. Being an EE not a ME, I may being committing engineering errors of which I know nothing.
Using Vette technology to provide a 4-seat performance car seems a good idea. Making a 4-seat Vette --Noooooo Waaaaaaay!
If A person does not Want A 2 Seat Sportscar, Do Not even consider looking at A Corvette. Look into A BMW M-3. After all, Motor Trend Rated The BMW the over-all winner in their performance car shoot-out Just because it had A Back seat. Even though the Corvette Beat it in Every category.(Except The Back seat Category) :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad
