Time to replace tires on my '05 roadster. Any opinions on run flat vs conventional. Thinking about BF Goodrich KDW-2 G force. I haven't been too impressed with Goodyear OEM's
A lot depends on how safe you feel replacing the run flats with a non run flat. There is no debate that a non run flat is:
Cheaper
Longer wearing
Quieter
Better handling
But one flat could have you longing for the GoodRocks. Right now could be a bad time to be needing tires too, rumor has it the GY strike is starting to have an impact on availability.

I've had the G-forces for 13K miles. They handle better, last a lot longer and are less $$. A couple of cans of stop leak in the trunk and I'm cool. If I have a major blow out... that's what Onstar and AAA are for. I say, go for it if you want your car to handle a lot better.
I just ordered GY F1 GS2's for my C6. I just don't care to get away from run flats. They cost $1125 installed. Early this year I bought BF Goodrich KD's for my 02 Camaro SS and they cost $1000.
I am installing the new GY's on Z06 polished wheels.
