Fob Problem
Went to start the 2005 C6 tonight pressed the unlock button and horn button on the fob and nothing. The car had been setting for a month or so I figured the battery was maybe dead. I opened the back hatch with the key and the light comes on. I try the other fob it works perfect I again try the first fob it works perfect now. Car started right up. Any idea what was going on with the first fob? seems like it somehow reset itself to the car. I bet i carry the key in my pocket from now on! Ted B

I'd have the car battery checked, based on how long it was sitting. Others here who had similar symptoms usually had a battery that barely had enough juice to start the car.
Could be the fob battery, but not likely.

The battery in the fob could have had a bad contact. My battery had to be replaced after about a year. I would get a message on the DIC stating "low fob battery". It did it a few times so I replaced the battery and I have not seen the message in six months.
