Default Order Statis

I guess I do not understand. I just ordered a 2007 Corvette with a price over $50,000. Why is it that I cannot get information direct from GM about the statis of my vette without going through the dealer. I would think that the purchase price would include a statis report. Any comments. maby we can send a message to GM.

Because you are not buying the car from GM. You are buying it from the dealer. The dealer is buying the car from GM and it is the dealer responsibility to keep you informed about your $50,000 purchase.

Quoted from other thread. I tried it and worked for me...

If you get your order # from your dealership you should be able to contact Chevrolet Customer Assistance at 1-800-222-1020 and they can look up your order and give you a status update.

How can somebody buying a $50,000 car not know how to spell status while ranting about the same?
