I don't believe it can be turned off, but it is very dim. It may be switched by a light sensor and not be visible unless it's completely dark outside.

It is only on when the headlamps or parking lamps are on.

May not be visible in with ambient light. Inspect in the dark.

There is no dedicated swith for this lamp, other than the headlamp switch.

Yeah it's not very bright. Even when I change mine to the brightest Blue LED I could fine it's still barely visible.

That's funny this topic came up. My brother noticed the light on in the car the other night and i'd never seen it before. Thought something wasn't locked down on the roof or something for a minute.

I have seen questions in the Forum asking what the light does, but I have never seen mine on.

Default LED light change out / Radio Shack

The LED that shines down comes from the passenger side visor mount/clip. If you take out the one screw (torx I believe) you will see the wire that goes to it. Gently pull about 2-3 inch max of wire out so you have room to get the LED out. The LED just pulls out. Radio Shack 276-316 is for the Blue LED. They have others. You will see when you get it the two stiff wires are longer than the one we have. Just match up and clip off the excess. Push it in the socket and you are done. Very easy.

Default Link to visor LED Removal

Go to this link and scroll down to #37. That has pics on exactly how the visor LED comes out and what you will see.
