There is a GM notice out on the . GM DOC # 1867937, UE1# PIT4118B.
It states:
" Some customers may comment that when using the Navigation System the Navigation map is showing the incorrect location for the vechile. After further diagnosis, you may notice that the Navigation Radio has no GPS signal which is indicated by a GPS indicator always present on the radio display. The concern may be caused by OnStar antenna overshadowing the The GPS signal of the radio".
"RECOMMENDATIONS/INSTUCTIONS:
Disconnect the GPS atenna from the OnStar module. If the no GPS symbol disappears from the radio, replace the OnStar GPS antenna. Do not replace the radio or the GPS antenna for the Radio. If the no GPS symbol remains, follow normal diagnosis in SI2000"
So I will get a call when the new OnStar GPS antenna is in and have it replaced. I hope this fixes it. FYI I believe the OnStar antenna is the long black box like one, mounted on the windshield next to the mirror.
Hope this helps anyone with this problem.

This does bring up once again GMs Quality Assurance practices. How can a vechile go through a complete QA check and still have things that never worked from the factory. Remeber this was a problem that I first noted on delivery. So it appears the NAV Never worked. I know it is a small thing compared to other problems that people have had but come on GM how about a little better QA program.
Is there anyone else out there that is having a constant GPS with a red spash symbol. I am told there is a 2 week back order on the NAV/Radio so I thought that maybe there are others with this NAV problem.
