C6 Colgan Bra Install

C6 Colgan Bra Install
I just got my new colgan bra for my c6 vette. However, I can't figure out what the instructions are talking about relative to the "felt pads" and the "shim" as far as hooking the bra into the wheel wells.
Can someone help me, please?

You slide the little hard felt . ..well, OK . .plastic pieces under the fender liner and wiggle them in..
Start at the leading edge of the hood and simply lay it out . . . then slip the hooks under the chin and around the grill.
Tucking the felt pads under the fender liners just takes patience . . .and if the plastic posts pop out . . .just push `em back in.
It'll make sense to you . . . good luck !

Quite "different" than how the C5s mounted, that's for sure.
I also use the plastic thing-a-ma-jig to press the flaps into the headlight housing seams, also.

Took me a couple trys to figure it out. My old bra's used to form around the wheel wells. This one slips between the plastic well guard and the painted surface. You have to wiggle it between the parts.
Also helps if the material is heated. A couple of spins in the dryer helps. Not much sun in WA this time of the year.

I got a VR color match late Summer.........had to work with it to get it to fit properly (Colgan no help on phone). IMO, it doesn't install or fit as well as the GM bra but it now looks and works good.
