Default Thermometer stuck

For the past 2 days, my thermometer seems to be stuck at 75 degrees F. It has read this constantly since Monday. Tech gurus please advise.

Where is the thermistor located in the C6? Somewhere in the grill area I suppose. Can you find it?

2 c6's and two very, very, very SLOW thermomiters to react. Takes 15/20 minutes but does eventually read correctly--or close to it.

There are some delays designed into the outdoor temp display:

If the outside temperature goes up, the displayed temperature will not change until:
• The vehicle’s speed is above 10 mph (16 km/h) for five minutes.
• The vehicle’s speed is above 32 mph (52 km/h) for two and a half minutes.
These delays prevent false readings. If the temperature goes down, the outside temperature will be shown when you start the vehicle. If it has been turned off for less than three hours, the temperature will be recalled from the previous vehicle operation.

Most likely it's a loose sensor wire or a bad sensor. I'd start by checking the wiring connection to the sensor. It's down low on the passenger side of the radiator shroud, IIRC. You could also try resetting the temp display by pulling the fuse to the climate control and reinserting it. If neither of those fix it, I'd take it to the dealer.

Mine does the same thing. I don't think the manual description is completely accurate. As long as mine car has been off for a while, it shows the current outside reading at start up. But I have also observed the time/speed thing.

Mine used to do the same thing. Dealer replaced the outside air temperature sensor and all is now well.

Maybe you're just having nice weather.

if the car is shut down for 3 or more hours the temp reading is instant.
After that the speed/time program takes over.

If stuck replace the 10 dollar sensor. I did and works accding to manual.

very poor design IMO
