I just purchased a 07 C6 Z51 ,I asked my dealer to get me a build sheet, they looked at me like i was stupid! How do I gt a build shhet for my car? THANKS
I got a "build sheet" (BS) from NCM for the $35.00 and quite frankly, for me, wasnt that impressed with it and I wouldnt get another sheet if I bought another Corvette.
Is the build sheet different information than what is on the window sticker?
Some of the info is different (new) as its a Bowling Green Build sheet but for me, the other info is pretty useless and not worth the $35.00.
Unless your a perfectionist for your Vette's info, the window sticker is plenty for me and most likely for the next buyer of my Vette.
I posted this once last week....Go to ANY GM dealer with your vin and they can pull up and print a build sheet as well as about four other reports that gives you anything you ever wanted to know...NO COST to get this...I also got a report that shows when each main item was installed in the car and tested...things like the ECM nav system, trans, motor etc..gives which day it was installed and the actual build date of the vehcile and the employee number of the person doing the work....Sounds like your dealer is just lazy and does not want to help.

When you get the build sheet for YOUR vehicle from NCM it is about 11 1/4 X 17 and it is laminated. Granted, it is a "Gee Whiz" item but it has a few things on it that you will not find on your window sticker such as the codes the factory workers read to know what to put on the car.
Since this was the first and probably the last and only 'Vette I will ever be able to have, I opted for the "Gee Whiz" stuff. Plus, the money helps out the Museum.
I can get printer friendly build info. Check my sig
I got one from GMAutoTech and its got more info and looks better than the NCM Build Sheet...not to mention the free price!

Hmmm...my Build Sheet from NCM was NOT laminated...that must have been an extra cost item above and beyond the $35.00 I paid. I would sell it on Ebay but dont think anyone would want it
Here is what I've done with my Build Sheet. It is in the garage with many other memorabilia items. Since we did the buyer's tour and I wasn't able to get the original one from the plant, I felt it was worth the money.
I bought it from the Museum. Interesting information about getting it from a dealer.

It must have been an extra special special for me. I received the build sheet, lamination for the build sheet, the window sticker and lamination for the window sticker for my 2006 for $40.
