I just saw my first interior shots of the C6. Tell me it aint so , but the steering wheel looks just like whats in my 06 Saturn truck. The difference is the Corvette emblem and where the shift control is on the Corvette steering wheel my cruise control is.Am I mistaken about this or have the bean counters got their hands into the C6. I thought they learned their lesson from 1976.

It is what it is, although I never owned a Saturn so I never knew I had a knock-off sterring wheel. I suppose if you close your eyes you'll never know the difference . It does work well though.

It's the other way around. You were lucky that Saturn tried to dress up their vehicle and sprang for a steering wheel from a $50,000 vette.

I think you are making reference to this wheel:

I had it on my 1971 SS/RS big block Camaro, and it worked fine, and I liked it. In fact, I think it is a classic. And yup, I saw it on lots of Vegas, too.

Likewise, my 2006 Corvette wheel is super and I don't care if they put it on every taxi-cab in Tijuana, that doesn't lessen it's utility to me.

The idea of a corporation saving money via standardization doesn't bug me a bit. Just the opposite. But, cheaping out on the needed features in my car would bug me.

What I noticed about my C6 steering wheel -

It is round.
It has a horn feature.
It turns the wheels.

Just kidding. I really never thought that the wheel had to be something unique or special though.

The 2007 corvette has the same controls as the 2006 Saturn Vue....In addition the 2007 Saturn Aura has paddle shifter auto 6-spd..just like the Corvette....NOW IF THE Chevrolet dealers only could treat customers like Saturn dealers do they would have a better reputation.

No problem if it is. It looks good and does its job. Who cares if it is on another car? It's a steering wheel

If you had a choice between the current c6 steering wheel and a unique-to-Corvette wheel that looked good but which didn't feel/function as well, which would you prefer?

I'm just happy to have something strong to hang onto when I floor it.

Who cares that the wheel is shared with other GM cars? Are we really that elitist?

It's a nice looking wheel and it has a nice feel. That's what counts.

What lesson? The C6 is one fine car, if you don't like it buy something else!
