*MUST READ OR YOU CAN DIE!!* Major head trauma possible for C6 coupe drivers!!
Folks, this REALLY, scares me. I'm 6'1" and I've just realized that I can very easily die in my C6 Coupe in a common 10 mph rear-ender. Since I'm 6'1", I have to set my car seat back so that my shins and knees don't touch the front dash. I set the angle of the seat back, so that it's comfortable. (This usually means that it's angled back more than what I'd set it to in a normal sedan.) The major problem with this is that I could get the top of my head crushed in if somebody were to rear-end me at even a very slow speed!!!
Slowly push yourself against the back of your seat by pushing against the steering wheel to simulate a slow rear-ender. You may notice that the top of your head will CRASH into the hard plastic liner that covers the underside of the roof-bow. (This condition only happens in a direct, rear-ender; I'm not talking about a lateral collision from the side.) The more/faster you push back, the more your head will be banged, because you're sinking into the cushion of the seat as well as the seat back flexing backwards.
Shorter drivers can just lower the seat pan, but if you're 6' tall or higher, your head could still hit even if you lower the pan to the lowest position. I've since tried about a hundred different combinations of seat position and back angle to save my brain from trauma, but nothing feels comfortable. In the meantime, I have to make sure that nobody tailgates me, and I leave a lot of space in front of me (something that should always be done anyway.)
I might have to see if a thin plank of wood behind the seat will prevent the seatback from flexing backwards. Even if that helps just a 1/4 inch, that's at least a 1/4 inch that my skull won't get caved in!!

Do You, your Mind and Skull a BIG Favor....Sell your C6 ASAP and buy yourself a Volvo, or better yet, a HUMMER! I am sooooo thankful I am only 5'-11.75 inches tall!!

Secondly, even if it were true, I don't expect I'd be able to engineer anything to prevent it.

You guys must be short, and therefore don't have to worry about this...
Seriously....if your wetting your shorts over this, I got another great idea. Buy yourself a FULL FACE HELMET with the latest Snell rating and wear it at all times while in your C6. Not only will this save your precious skull but you'll look like a boy racer, folks will think you got some HOT car (hey, you could also add a six point harness so you wont move at all when back-ended) and chicks will think your some kind of cool Lightning McQueen!!

Also, when it's wet/icey out, below freezing etc, don't EVER leave the house/go outside.
One bad slip and BAMM you could crack your skull wide open.
Always use a condom too.
