I just got my '06 monty coupe 6 days ago and the cover I was using on my '05 ms coupe is scratching my monty. It has a inner soft liner but it fits real tight. I have never put it on the car without making sure the car was clean, but I think its just too tight.
I bought the Cover King satin cover shown, and I love it. Super soft inside, and still shows the lines of the car when cover. I found it on line after alot of hunting for around $185. without C6 emblems. I bought those off Ebay for $3 each.
I just bought a Wolf Coverguard 3--supposedly 3 layers, although they must be .0000000000001" thick each Fits well, and is indoor/outdoor. However, I only want it for the garage during the (this winter anyway) long periods I don't drive it. Q-Detailed the car thoroughly before putting it on, so no dirt/dust to scratch. Will see how it goes on my black coupe. Only $1 bill, free shipping from Corvette Central. Not all that pleased with how the underside feels, but will see about scratches. If it does, I will be .
Since I've been a vette owner I've owned 2 covers, both of which now reside @ the dump. Not only did they leave scratches, but also left a scum haze on the windows/paint which I suppose was trapped moisture due to poor breatheability. My car is garaged and now I only cover the conv top (to protect from dust) and use a California duster. It will take a lot of convincing for me to invest $200 in a cover.
