They also took stuff off of the 07, such as the hood lamp and console lock. There's more but they are not obvious.
Sorry, did not see the previous post by JimTN...
These were both NO BIG DEAL as I never understood the worth of an underhood light and I have never in over 45 years of driving locked a glove box. It only safeguards things from the honest person, who was no threat anyway. The crook would find a way to easily break open the console or glove box. Now the good added things like the A6 transmision in 2006, the improved sound system and a smaller steering wheel. Loved my 2005 coupe but can't wait to pick up my 2007 in less than two weeks

You might be able to find a leftover new 06 at a dealership. I got mine in October and paid $8500 under MSRP. You should be able to do even better now.

I considered buying an '06, but bought an '07 because I like having a new model car, plus the 100K warranty. BUT, you will find many dealers in the C6s For Sale section discounting '06 Corvettes for $10,000 off MSRP. There are also dealers offering $9,000 discounts on '07s.
The slightly used 06 was gone before I could get to it, dealer here will do 11,500 off a 06 on the lot but is not equipped like I want or color for that matter. I think my GMID will get me around 7,00 off a 07 which is a big difference but would also be exactly what I want, what's a few thous for that, right?
Ever considered doing the R8C Museum Delivery? Every Vette owner should get to experience that once in their life. Picked up my '07 coupe that way in Sep- highly recommended, and I think gota07 will second that. Not exactly convenient for you in Cali, but lotsa folks make the trip.
'Course, you could always do the NCMXperience with an '06... Only you can judge how much either one's worth.

If you don't get what you want in options and color, you'll regret it IMO.
I miss the steering wheel audio controls in my '05. Got used to it in my truck. You don't really need it though as the radio is so close to the driver and it's not much of a reach.
The last thing I need on a Corvette are d@mn steering wheel mounted radio controls. I love them on my trucks and lux cars but I've got no time to be foolin' with the radio in the Vette.....my remote control sits in the passenger seat!!
