IMO any CF that continues to denigrate other CF members for no reason should be banned.

The Z51 is definitely not a rough ride. My 06 has a very nice ride with the Z51 package. Afterall the Vette is a sports car not a Cadillac so it is supposed to handle and ride like a sports car. I also have a 03 Nissan 350Z with the Nismo suspension (performance shocks, springs and sway bars) and after driving both cars back to back this morning the Corvette's ride is much smoother. Its also smoother than a stock 350Z.

BTW although the Corvette is more powerful and actually 100 lbs lighter than my 350Z, I would put my modified 350Z's handling ahead of my Z51 Corvette on the twisties. Its all about tradeoffs. You can make a car handle better, but in order to do so you generally give up some overall ride quality. The Z51 package is a nice compromise between ride and handling in my opinion.

If there is anything else you wish to know about Z51, please ask myself (I consider myself somewhat of a Z51 expert if there is such a thing ) or others. We'll be glad to help you.

Good luck.
Thanks, there really is no decision to be made, I plan to track the car (as I tracked my CE Z06) so the Z51 is a must. I just wasn't sure which coolers came on the car, and I also learned that the calipers are in fact different. (I knew the rotors were bigger, and cross-drilled.)

As far as "harsh" ride, I can't image it is "worse" than either my lowered Z06 was or my lowered S2000 is, so I am not worried about it.

The coolers are important to me, as I have had PS fluid boil at track events (Trans Am.) I have also recieved many "Trans Temp HOT" warnings in the Z06.

I think I am going to wait for an 08. Artic Orange, Cashmier/Black interior, 3LT (Mabey 4LT), Z51, Body Colored roof only, and hopefully Museum Delivery.

Very nice choices if you intend to track the car.

I track mine, as does AFVETTE and quite a few other members here, and the coolers offered with the Z51 package are definitely an added benefit.

AFVETTE has had his at Road America and his write up is an interesting one indeed. I hope that he does not mine my posting a link to his thread about his experiences with the Z51 at Road America.

Very interesting and informative reading.

Good reads, thanks.

I was seeing ~270-ish with my Z06, and as much as 285. My track buddy has an '04 Z06 also and he just finished installing an aftermarket cooler for his engine oil and transmission.
