FWIW when I got mine I searched online for GMRAP and picked the cheapest one. As I remember it was US Car Audio at that point - try:

http://www.uscaraudio.com/cgi-bin/us...atalogno=GMRAP .

You may be able to find this at a local installer wherever you are as well but around here (DC) they actaully wanted above the list of $60 so I bought on line; it was $40 as I recall.

An update...

I got the GMRAP today and wired based on the posting by "alusk". The Parrot will now stay on when I shut down the engine just like the radio would.

Worked like a charm! This is great!

I also moved the electronics to the center console. This makes for a nicer install.

I like the Parrot installed in the Ash tray. Does the door close?

I got the Parrot 3200 and put it in the center console, which is OK since I use the phone to do most things... But having the Parrot up front is cool.

the door does close...but i usually leave it open to see the caller id....My contacts uploaded to the parrot automatically...so anything that comes in will show a name.

Default microphone location

By the way, where are all you folks installing your microphone? I have mine on top of my rearview mirror but was thinking about moving it to my A-pillar. I originally did not want it there b/c I thought it would look funny, but I do think the sound could improve some were I to move it.

Thoughts?

I installed my mike next to the console on the main dash just to the left of the A/C controls. Kind of out of sight, but still picks up my voice.
Much easier to run the wire.

I just thought of something else. The Parrot will stay on, along with the radio, after shutting down the engine. If I do not open the door, how long will the radio/Parrot remain on?

According to the description on hifisoundconnections the radio will stay on for 20 minutes if the doors aren't opened
