Default Ok Magnaflow exhaust members, need your input for final decision . . .

I have poured through many hours of exhaust threads and really like the magnaflows exterior sound, I've heard fellow member Indy-hp's sound clips http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d8...t=MVI_0028.flv however, I would like to know how magnaflows sound INSIDE the car with the windows up and no radio.

In order to get an idea of how much louder the magnaflows are I would like your personal comparison information of stock v. magnaflows (15886 or 15884) so please tell me your magnaflow exhaust experience regarding INSIDE / CABIN noise (windows up and no radio) on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being loudest)

At idle how loud do you say the inside of the car is with stock exhaust?
At idle how loud do you say the inside of the car is with magnaflows?

At highway cruising speed (if mn6 then 6th gear low rpm) how loud w/stock?
At highway cruising speed (if mn6 then 6th gear low rpm) how loud w/ magnaflows?

On a hard acceleration or takeoff how loud w/ stock?
On a hard acceleration or takeoff how loud w/magnaflows?

How would you describe the tone of the interior sound?

Thanks for your input, this will make my decision a lot easier and who better to ask than fellow members with experience!

See the Magnaflow site for soundclips. I think they are accurate. Overall, a deeper muscle car sound at idle (just a tad louder than stock), aggressive at acceration (significantly louder....sweet! you know that there are 400+ HP in there!), and conversation quiet at cruise (very close to stock). I researched for months...very pleased with my choice....Magnaflow 15884s. Hope this is of some help. Good luck!

Agree...also researched for months. Totally satisfied with the magnaflow 15884. This truly is an awesome system. Well worth the money. If you decide to go with this system, PM me and I will forward you some help information on price.

Default nice

Nice rumble letting you know they are there at idle, not much inside noise even with my headers but yes more than stock but not overkill, yes they will really be noticed outside the car when getting on it and inside but far more outside. They don't make the car sound like a muscle car but a refined sports car with American muscle onboard.

I went with the model # 14336 thay fit and look great no drone sound on the inside at all.Thay sound great and you can use your stock tip's or put on something else .Total cost on mine with large 4'' tips was under $300.00.I can put on what ever i want to it was not about the money so i thought i would give this set-up a try and if it sucked i would go B and B bullets or what ever. But i love the sound and thay look great.I think a lot of the aftermarket set-up's are just a big ripoff. Anyway best of luck to you.LOWWHITE6

I used the 14335 with the stock pipes for under $300 installed. I love them. I have 6 speed manual and there is some drone but it is easy to work around it.

I had hte 14336's in my 05 DSOM. I liked them for a bit but it did get a little annoying since you hear the rumble the whole time. When it is on 6th gear or when you are just cruising it may sound a little drony (if that's the word to describe it)
Good sound when you floor it or when rev it.
I just got an 07 and its back to being quiet, I do kinda miss it though but I guess I like quiet better.
It's up to the person. Look at my pics to see the magnaflow tips.

Installed the Magnaflow a week after buying the car. Great sound. No resonance. Bought it new off eBay for $950 including the X pipe and shipping. Paid Meineke $100 to put it on. Best mod so far.

It depends on which magnaflow you buy. I guarantee the magnapack is going to drone you out of the cockpit. It will however give you some serious rumble. But the other less aggressive magnaflows should be fine.

I would do this for you, I'll take my cell phone along with me, and you tell me how to drive and what you want to hear....
Its an awesome system for deep tones with comfortable cabin noise. I had GHL's and took those off in 2 weeks becuase of their drone.
Anyhelp I can provide to anyone, let me know

Do you have the part number for the magnapack mufflers?

This is very subjective and a 1-10 scale is probably too detailed for my ear, but here goes: stock=1; magnaflow 15886=5

At highway cruising speed (if mn6 then 6th gear low rpm) how loud w/stock?
At highway cruising speed (if mn6 then 6th gear low rpm) how loud w/ magnaflows?
stock=0; magnaflow=0 unless 1500-1700rpm, then=2

On a hard acceleration or takeoff how loud w/ stock?
On a hard acceleration or takeoff how loud w/magnaflows?
stock=3 (engine louder than exhaust); magnagflow=6 (exhaust louder than engine)

How would you describe the tone of the interior sound?
deep and smooth, with a little burble on decelleration.
