Let me start by saying that after you put it on and take it off a couple of times you will get much better at it. I can put my on in about 5-7 minutes nowadays. The most time consuming task is getting the tabs between the lens and the rubber. I use an old credit card which I cut in half and place it where the tab has to go. I then guide the tab in and remove the credit card. Make sure that the area where the bra goes is clean and free of dust to avoid scratches. Take it off often and wash your car. And always remove it after you get caught in the rain to ensure no moisture gets trapped.
I used to worry more about tips to get a bra off!!! Anyhow, sigh, It is much easier when the bra is warm. Also I bought a set of nylon pry tools that are actually made for chrome strip removal and windsheild removal. They make it alot easier to insert the tabs around the headlights. It gets a little easier each time I attempt it. Hang in there!!
I take the GM bra off EVERY WEEK to wash the car - have done so since I bought the car 6 months ago (and did the same for the last 7 years with my C5). In short, it gets easier with time, "practice makes perfect". The bra stretches a little, and you'll become very adept at getting it on and off. GM's "use a credit card" suggestion to put the tabs in around the headlights is a very good one = it works very well. Early on, it would take me 20 minutes to get it on and off. I'm now down to just a few minutes. IMO, it's worth the time and effort. It really does fit like a glove, which makes it clearly a "GM factory" bra = good looks, fit, and protection. But, yes, it is definately the most complex bra I've ever used. But the nose of the C6 is a fairly complex curve shape, requiring that design in order to fit so well with longevity. Just my .02.......
