Nothing wrong the 07 but you might be sorry if you buy one.....
Nothing wrong with the C5 either. It is a great car. But most folks who have experience with the C5 and get a C6 say the 6 is clearly superior. So that doesn't mean the C6 has anything 'wrong' with it. The C6 is just better.
I am thinking about an 08 IF the rumors are true about a new base engine and manual trans. If not then there would be no reason to trade my 05 for an 08 except to have a brand new car that is nearly identical.
So if the 08 has higher base hp , maybe three valves, maybe is flexfuel or on demand displacement what the heck. It won't mean that there is anything 'wrong' with the 07-I will just be glad I didn't buy one.
And if the 08 has the 6060 manual trans there will not suddenly be anything 'wrong' with all the T56s in prior C6s. It will just be better.
Now, logic like this can get us into trouble even though it fits for the C5 and C6. For example, we might ask if there is anything 'wrong' with a '78 vette, or '82, or '84. Now, some of us would probably have to express some opinions about 'wrong' in extreme cases like those ( or heaven help us, the '75 ).

I have an 05 and happy with it. I'm not running out buying a Vette bc now in 06 there is a new steering wheel and A6. Or now in 07 there are 2 tone seats. Now in 08 maybe a 30hp more rating and 6.2. Point .2 is quite a bit larger though? That makes no sense money wise unless you have money to burn I guess. My 05 is the same car as an 08 will be minus the bs they added I don't like anyway and maybe 30hp that I surpassed long ago, so why? I can add just about anything (misc bs) if need be, but mine is loaded so not sure what I would add other than maybe a rear Z06 mod, but that has nothing to do with HP/TQ so not on my top 5 list now anyway, just a bling thing. I love the C6 and drive it for what it's worth and someone will always be faster so why worry unless you're on the track for $$$.
