Actually, doing just the rears is a pretty good option. You won't look like you are trying to be a Z06 wannabe.

Just Do It!

as for price...you gonna have to search and search and search some more.
I belive Fred Beans have good prices for parts or GM Direct or make a friend at your local Chevy dealer that way he can hook you up.

why would you want to do the wide body conversion? if you want the look of the z06 then why not just buy that instead? i am not sure but i can imagine that it is not cheap to do the wide body conversion?

Its not too expensive at all - probably around $2k before tires & wheels.

And for most people, its not about the look, its about traction. You can't put 345's under a stock rear.

I'll be doing a widebody sometime in the future - due to HP increases. I'll have more HP than a Z06 - and a convertible - for much less $$ than a Z. I don't track, so the other things a Z offers (dry sump, coolers, etc) dont matter much to me.

AS I SAID EARLIER TRACTION IS THE ONLY REASON I AM DOING THE CONVERSION AND THAT IS THE REASON WHY I DECIDED ON DOING THE REAR ONLY(IT LOOKS MEANER AS WELL)
ALTHOUGH IF MONEY WASNT AN ISSUE I WOULD DO THE FRONT ALSO

Do they come painted? No paint match issues?

THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE GUYS!
SHOULD HAVE THE REAR CONVERSION DONE WITHIN 3 WEEKS.
STILL HAVE TO DECIDE ON RIMS AND ALSO NOT TO SURE IF I SHOULD GO WITH WIDER RIMS ON THE FRONT JUST INCASE I DO THE FRONT CONVERSION IN THE FUTURE. WOULD IT BE LIVABLE TO HAVE THE FRONT ZO6 SIZE WHEELS IF I DIDNT DO THE FRONT CONVERSION?
I WOULD IMAGINE EVERY LITTLE PUDDLE WOULD MAKE A MESS ALONG THE SIDE OF THE CAR. ALSO ORDERED THE GM RACING STYLE WING NOT TO SURE ABOUT IT BUT I THINK IT WILL BE OK. IF ANY BODY IN THE FORUM IS FROM CANADA AND INTERESTED IN DOING THE WIDEBODY I ENDED UP BUYING THE REAR CONVERSION PIECES FROM THE LOCAL DEALER AND IT RAN ME $1370. CANADIAN FOR THE COMPLETE RR CONVERSION.(WHICH IS ABOUT $1122 U.S.) NOT BAD

Except the fender lips don't match. Just doesn't look right IMHO.

Default Here's my 2c

Unless you just gotta have that look and spend about $6000 by the time it's all said and done, now you will want more HP bc the newly installed Z06 size tires are gonna grab not like before. So do you do the wide body or so the HP/TQ upgrade? Tough question I ponder myself. Really we need both. But to answer you there are many here that have done it and can provide where to buy info. Fred Beans is probably the best place.
