Lately my air conditioning is not getting real cold like it used to do. Even when I set it at 60 (lowest setting) the air is cool but not cold. Temps outside have been running around 60. Does outside temp readings have anything to do with the A/C or do I need to go to the dealer? Of course, if there are any suggestions you have that might save me a trip to the dealer I would appreciate your input. Thanks, Jim

If it's 60 outside and the a/c is set on 60 it's not going to cool it anymore. Check your defroster and see if it is cold. The next thing to do is wait for a warmer day. If it's not cold then, take it to the dealer.

Yes, all 3 sensors will affect the operation of the A/C. The sensor near the front of the radiator, the sensor on top of the dash, and the sensor next to the ignition switch will all affect it.
However, if it's 60 degrees outside and your A/C is just running cool, it sounds to me like it's okay.
If the outside air is 60° and the car A/C thermostat is set for 60° then the electronic logic is going to pick 60° air to flow out of the vents. If the outside temp is 80° and the A/C thermostat is set at 60° then the vents will blow colder air. Your A/C is doing just what it was designed to do.
Why in the world would you want it colder than 60° in the car?
