Anyone with a high-mileage C6?
I ask because with only 4,100 miles on my '07 I don't see it giving as good of service as any of my previous C4s, two of which had more than 140,000 miles on them when I sold or traded them.
Yes, the C6 is quick
Yes, the C6 is comfortable
Etc., etc.
But the lack of rigidity of the body panels is disconcerting, and the paint - (yes, I know it's been brought up here many times before) - is, well, the paint's not good.
Would appreciate hearing from someone with high miles as to how well, overall, the car is holding up.

Picked up my 2006 C6 at the NCM on 28 Sept. '05.
Now have 14,800 miles with ZERO issues. My wife's Acura stranded me because of a fuse box wiring problem at less than 8,000 miles.
Don't have a clue what your concern could be. The C6 is the best Corvette ever designed and built. You may prefer any year or model you like, but I don't think the C6 has any more problems than previous ones.

Heres a thread asking 2005 owners to post their mileage. The highest posted was 67,000 miles.

Well, it ain't like this is my first rodeo, my first car, or my first new Corvette. I have owned four new Corvettes previously and have more than 350,000 miles in Corvettes. I love the cars: or I would not have bought another one. Still, my original comments/questions stand IRT C6s.
Any sage comments, rather than comments assuming I'm attacking a sacred relic, would be appreciated.

not tracking with you, Joel ... how we get from concerns over long-term/high mileage durability to panels, to paint. you're right, it's not a sacred relic, just trying to understand where other CF members may be able to assuage your concerns.

There are a huge number of C5s out there with over 140k on them, and a small number of them over 250k too. If a C5 can make it that far, I'd see no reason why a C6 couldn't do it as well, since the LS2 is very similar in design to the LS1. And in terms of the rest of the vehicle, the C6 is more refined overall than the C5, so I see no reason why the reliability overall wouldn't be just as good or better.
IMO, a well maintained C6 could easily go 250-300k on it's original drivetrain.

My '07 has 6800 on it now and perfect. My '99 has 286K on it and tomorrow will show 287K. Other than the failing oil pressure sender, its working pretty good. Nothing lasts forever, but if you take care of it, it will take care of you.

I apologize if I appeared cryptic.
I'm not concerned so with engine, tranny, rear end, or any of the mechanical systems, not after having driven two C4s in excess of 140K each and knowing where there are a couple of C4s and C5s with in excess of 250K miles on them.
I am concerned about "durability" of panels and other body parts. They squeak, and "yield" when pressed on, as do external mirrors and the like when waxing, polishing, detailing.
And the paint. The paint's really crummy when compared to "paints of old." I have LOTS of little paint dings and blemishes and the car has only has 4100 miles. The paint on my last C4 at 142,000 miles was in much better condition than this miserable stuff is on my '07.
I was simply curious if someone with high mileage could shed some light on what to expect later on. Thanks to those who have responded.
