I took the plunge Soon to be on my C6 will be HRE's 547r's with a chrome lip and a red/white/ blue center caps. I figure what the hell . No question the HRE's will enhance the beauty of the beast.
Any other members have pictures of this wheel to share?
I have a set of HRE 540R's for my V.yellow coupe. They're 19x10 in the front and 20x12 on the rear and they were built to clear big brake kits(HRE tech told me if I ever want to switch to a zo6, I can still use the wheels)Black clear coated centers with a polished lip. Since they are not installed on the car yet(debating whether to step up to a zo6 or buy rear quarter panels)I'll try to post pics of the wheels.
Please do.I have lemans blue and ordered 547R's painted gloss silver centers with chrome lips and red/white/blue center caps. HRE claims my front lips will be 1" and rears will be 2". I wanted my new rims to within the body panels and to not stick out.
Now I don't know if I'm the only person on Corvetteforum with these but I just ordered a set of the 897R wheels. I ordered 19x10 front and 20x12 out the rear. Everything polished.
Congratulations, I just pulled the trigger yesterday myself
Wheel Style: HRE 893R - 18”x9” Front & 19”x10.5” Rear
Wheel Finish: Brushed Aluminum Center & Chrome Outer Lip
Center Cap: 3D Black/Grey HRE Cap
What type of locking lugs did you go with Gorilla or McGuard. My dealer will supply McGuard locks with my wheels but is waiting to see the wheel hardware to ensure they match the correct size and style.
The 893 is a excellent choice. I'm waiting for the same thing on HRE lugs. I hear the Gorilla's will be the way to go. The brushed aluminum look killer. I would suggest clear coating to eliminate maintnance.
