Default Quick Q

Are the brake pads on the Z51 the same as all other c6's. Looking for ceramic pads and the only part # is 88909667 and 88909668. The listing says its for years 1997 to current. Sorry for I did a search and it did not help. Thanks

All C5 and C6 brake pads will fit all C5s and C6s with the exception of the C6 Z06. The big C6 Z06 brakes are different. That's not to say that all C5 and C6 brake pads are the same material. The OEM Z51 pads dust, and squeal, more than the pads used on the standard cars, but fade a bit less when hot. Ceramic pads don't stop as well as the OEM standard or Z51 pads, but they produce little dust and noise.

That helps. I'm not used to all this darn dust. Since I don't race, I might just swap out the pads for the ceramic to keep things a little cleaner on the wheels.
