Default Service Active Handling Warning

Well...I got a warning on the DIC about servicing the active handling...any idea on what it means and what the fix entails? Luckily it is still under warranty. I did get new tires put on this morning and it came up about 15 minutes after leaving the tire place...could there be a link or just a coincidence? Need some help...thanks

I have had this happen once & never happened again.I have seen past threads on the same thing happening to others also, and never seeing it again.I would say to keep an eye on it.If it happens again, bring it to the dealer.

Mine did it and there is a rheostat at the end of the steering column that fails and causes it. One cause obviously. There is also a harness under the column that needs a zip tie to ensure stays tight. That is a TSB but can do yourself. The other required the tech to swap out. This is common and the rheostat is usually in stock. They can connect the portable reader to the car while running so they see it and tell you exactly what is wrong. Every time I turned mine off it cleared so no codes.

This happened to me last month while driving the bumpy downtown roads in Houston. It is a quick diy repair with the wiring under the steering column. Do a search for it under "service active handling" and you should find it.
