After all the adusting in the world of the tonneau top to make it fit fush when the soft top is down I think I finally figured out why it still does not lay completly fush on passenger side. The top corner (corner that meets the windshield on the passenger side) is nearly a half inch closer to the passenger rear fender than the drivers side . The effect of that misalignment is that the soft top corner fits very very snugly in the recess provided in the tonneau cover and it binds when the tonneau covers closes leaving that side up . Point of this post is does anyone know how to adjust this or should I simply try to apply a little pressure to the soft top to push it literally so that it creates some clearance? Appreciate any advise.
My car is off the road for the winter, so I cannot check anything.
I do not have the problem that some here describe. My way of putting the top down (Manual) is to reset the lock latch to closed and give a little push down to settle the folded top. I have done this method since I first got my C5 Vert in April 98 and do the same with my 05.
