Default 1st Corvette

I have bought my first Corvette, and I have waited since 1971 for it. It is beautiful. I have not had been able to drive it due to the weather here, it is making me crazy every time I go out to the garage.
I have a question, the dealer put the front license holder on, it is held with body tape, can anyone tell how to remove it with out damaging the paint?

2007 Coupe, Monterey Red Exterior, Ebony/Cashmere Interior, A6, 3LT, Z51, Dual Roof, Chrome Wheels, Two Tone Interior.

Congratulations! Hopefully they didn't drill any holes to mount it.

Front license plate holder is usually applied with double-sided tape. With a little care and persistance, it should come off.

plate holder will pull off. apply steady pressure; blow dryer/heat gun will help soften adhesive. some have used dental floss to "saw" off adhesive tabs. after it's off use Goo Gone, similar product to clean-up leftover residue.

Congrats on the new ride! You can pull off the frame but put something behind where the frame will pry against the bumper, then you can peel and rub most of the tape off especially when warm then use some goo gone to get the residue. Be patient and it comes off without damage.

In 1971 I was a senior at Michigan State University - since then, married (1 time and STILL married to the same woman) and 4 kids that have now all moved on.

I know what you mean when you say "waited since 1971".

I got my "1st one" last summer - you will absolutely love it in about 4 more weeks (in Chicago anyways).

Remember the wave.

Congratulations on the new Vette. Great color combination (maybe I am a little biased). Remember to save the wave !

I guess I've been waiting since 1986, I was an infant in 1971.

Anyway, congrats on the car, many miles of smiles to you.
