I dont get it I have these wires, two! red and yellow to connect to the inside mirror on my 06 , now do I have to open the mirror rear cover to connect them , wear do you connect them in side the mirror , what am I missing here.
The book that came with them tells you where. There is a big connector on the back of the mirror that unplugs. Take it out and connect the wires as the book states. It obviously came from invisicord correct? It's far too simple.

OK tomorrow I'll look , if it's to simple that's my problem Thanks
I struggled with this bit too at first. To remove the wiring harness from the rear of the mirror, press down on the top of the harness. It will release and you can pull it out enough to put the wires in the right holes.
Just stick the ends of the wires in with the ones identified in the instructions.
Then put the harness back in, making sure you have the correct side up.
There is an instruction sheet on the invisicord site as well that shows you where to hook it up - you don't need to pull the harness out of the mirror if you use a mirror to see the back of the mirror. If I recall the black ground goes to the upper L slot (black) and the power goes to the lower middle pink wire slot.

The pins on the end of your wires just push into the the back of the plug where the mirror wires attach. You need to disconnect the plug first so you can access it. If you look through the windshield from the outside just below the tinted area you'll see the wires going into the plug.
Be sure to use a wire tie to secure your wire to the mirror wire bundle. This insures that your wires don't get inadvertantly pulled loose.
(1) Determine what the color code is for the Invisicord end terminals by reading the sheet that came with the cord. I would presume red is for the hot wire; that leaves the green for the ground.
(2) Depress the tab on the top of the mirror harness, and simultaneously tug on the harness plug...if you depress the tab COMPLETELY, the harness should come out of the mirror. Word of caution: It's better to remove the harness from the mirror than try to work on it IN the mirror...you jack with that mirror too much and the mount will loosen up on the windshield, and then you have a problem.
(3) Find the pink wire in the CENTER cavity. I can't remember for sure if it's in the top row or the bottom row, but I believe it's the top row...that pink wire should be your switched 12V hot wire. Insert the Invisicord hot wire terminal (red?) into the rear of the cavity alongside the pink wire.
(4) Find the black wire in the END cavity. Again, I can't remember if it's the top or bottom row, but it WILL be the opposite row from the hot wire. If I'm not mistaken, there will be a black wire on BOTH end cavities of that row...either will probably work, but the specified black wire is in the cavity nearest the mirror support bracket when the harness is plugged in. Plug the Invisicord ground wire terminal (green?) into that cavity alongside the black wire.
(5) Plug mirror harness back into the mirror with the tab on top. Plug your Invisicord into the radar detector and start the car (pink wire is only hot with the ignition on); if you have the Invisicord wire color code right, found the right cavities, and made good connections in the cavities, then it should light right up.
(6) The instructions above are for the mirror without OnStar. If you have OnStar, I believe the harness plug layout may be slightly different. As a last resort, email Teamspeed that sells the Invisicord...he is very helpful.
