Has Anyone Else Had This Problem?
I recently purchased a 2006 VY vert from a private seller. When my buddy and I looked at the car, we didn't see this problem. The top was down. I put the top up and a few days latter drove it home. Next day I put the top down and there they were.
Two black marks across the hard top cover, behind each headrest. They are exactly where the cord holding the cloth "dust cover" (for lack of a better term) crosses the hard shell behind the headrests.
I've tried to polish out, even using Harley swirl remover. No luck.
Here's a picture.
I did a search, but couldn't find anything. If anyone has any ideas,
would love to hear them.

Forgot to add that it is unlikely the seller did anything to the car before I brought it home. She can't drive a stick. Long story, but her hubby wasn't around during that time.
