330 has Dynamic Stability Control (similar to AH) and Traction Control. My point was that the DSC on the 330 does more to catch the car on snow and ice, than the AH on the C6 does on wet pavement.
Well, I don't have snow, so I can only compare on wet pavement, but the AH in the C6 does a better job than whatever I have in my M3. Not sure I'm convinced they're that similar.
I was still getting used to my new Z51 MN6, when I decided to take a corner, in traffic, throw it into the middle lane, and punch the gas once the car was headed straight. NOTHING was turned off, and the rear end still gave way so much that I was just waiting to hit my rear end off of the traffic in the left-hand lane next to me. Thankfully, TC and AH kicked in and straightenend me out, but who knows were I would've been without them intervening. Now, of course hindsight bias, but it just just slightly rain and just let off so the roads were very slick (as I came to find out later). Had a 350Z previously and was used to the torque, and the way it behaves, in that car. Temps were about 50, so not too bad. Live and learn, but I have been A LOT more careful and respectful of this car ever since.
From what I've seen, our AH and TC allow some slip before kicking in.
Exact same thing happened to me, temp was about 45 and roads were dry. Traction control and active handling were on.
I always thought the A/H button was just a fake button linked to the dash, you mean it actually works?
Yep works. Just like those big chrome pedestrian crossing buttons...but only if you hit it once otherwise THEY know because of cameras mounted on the poles.
