Default Routine maintenance.....

PLEASE NO FLAMING.....

I have 18K miles on my 05 MN6 vert....the only thing I've done thus far is a few oil changes....everything is running great but I was wondering what is recommended up to this point....fluid changes?, tune?, etc.....I know the manual says all sorts of stuff but what do you guys recommend....I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't follow the book....

I figure the GM engineers know more than I do. I did follow the book for as long as I had my 05 C6. I'm still following it with my 06 C6.

Pages 6-5 through 6-10. If you're not doing all those, I can't imagine anything else you'd need to do.

Clean the valve body-bleed wheel cylinders-
change clutch fluid(a number of times.) If Z51, lube rear fittings.Suck out and replace power steering fluid.
Not necessary but--change MN6 and rear fluids with Royal Purple-
Not much more you can do at 18,000 miles

Nothing extra other than what is in the book.

You won't go wrong following the book. If they could justify more services, they'd require you to do them. More profit for the dealers, and less warranty claims for the company. But if you follow their sometimes overly conservative instructions, you'll be doing everything prudent to properly maintain your car.
