I scraped the living sh_t out of the under side of my front today as I was pulling off the road onto the parking lot at a hardware store. There was a 2 inch concret curb that transitioned the street to the lot and the lot had a slight incline upwards. Totally my fault for not entering at an angle. However, now, if you kneel down and look the black paint under the front end is badly scraped and looks like I have the low concret curb on it. Any suggestions on how to approach this? I have multiple coats of Zaino on the car and even though you really can't see this unless you get down, I'm still sick over my carelessness. No pics - was too upset to document!
That's an easy place to scrape. If you can't see it I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you maybe you could order some spray touch up paint and make it look better.
Sorry to hear about it, but if you need to get down on your hands and knees to see the damage, don't worry about it. Forget it. It does not matter. You will scrape it again anyway. I scraped the underside of my bumper once too... the only time anyone sees it... well, I'm the ONLY one that sees it, when I'm changing my oil...
And people wonder why I have raised the ride height of my car.

You know it is there and that may cause you some discomfort, but don't worry about it.
Jack the front of the car up. Mask off the areas of the car that you don't want to be painted. Sand the entire area to make sure that the everything is smooth. Spray the entire panel (2-3 coats). Then while the paint is still wet, spray it with clear. On the clear, spray 2-3 light/medium coats and follow it with 1 heavy coat. After the paint has cured, 5 days or so, you can wet sand (1500-2000 grit) and then polish it out.
Good luck!

Unbelievable! almost the same thing happened to me yesterday. Beautiful day, I decide to take the girlfriend out for a ride and lunch, pull into the parking lot and roll into a damn concrete stop. Lucky for me I decided to put my front plate on. It took most of the scrape.
Got home and buffed it out with KIT HD scratch remover and used GM touch up let it dry and buffed it out again. I knew this would happen sooner or later, but didn't expect it at 800 mi. I really have to look for it to see the scrape.
It really sucks, but take your time with paint and polishing compound and it should be OK. If it really bothers you, hit a body shop. Good Luck.

When I first read posts about scrapes under the front lower bumper I went out to my car and looked. Um...its shredded under there from hitting curbs and stuff. I bought it used so It wasnt me. I dont worry about it anymore as it is not even seen unless your are under the car. I can move on now. I know it hurts though so I can feel your pain. Touch up paint will help as descibed above.
Just wait untill you get rock chips on the hood.... That will drive you crazy for sure ! I still get one on the hood every few weeks... of course its always just above my clear bra....
