Dead Battery Problems
Okay...I know that the WSJ is not necessarily the authority on automobiles...but I thought this article was interesting anyway.
Notice that Cadillacs and Chevys are the most likely to use up batteries prematurely according to the Industrial MR stats shown in the second box.

If you read the article, the battery isn't the issue it is lack of an adequate charging system. Does the car company spend $11.00 per car to upgrade the charging system or $2.00 a car in battery warranty cost? Lets see we save $9.00 a car, what do you think they are going to do?

The battery in the Vette looks kind of small to me. I have a new Ford 150 and the battery is huge, at least 2 1/2 times the size of my Vette one. Years ago, when you shut the car off, it was "off". Today it is still drawing milliamps when "off". Coupled with cold weather and you have a dead battery in short order.
