Thanks all.
Have a great weekend.
Did you leave the fob in the compartment? Do you have the keys in your pocket. If you are too close to the car with the key it can mistake you having it in the pocket in close proximity as having left it in the car. Happens to me when both my wife and I have our fobs with us and I get out for gas or such and she stays in. It will honk three times.

This has been my experience ... If you are too close to the car with the key it can mistake you having it in the pocket in close proximity as having left it in the car.
If you get out of the car and leave the car door open then shut the car off it thinks you are still in the car if you then close the door to pump the gas the car thinks you are still in the car and beeps three times.. When gassing up shut car down then open the door and get out and shut the door should solve the problem.
3 beeps means you closed the door with the keys in the car - it will not lock even if the locking is set to "passive".
Are you sure about that? According to the owner's manual, it will lock the doors if a fob is left in the car IF at least one fob has been removed.

Lots of us have done this. Just close the door completely when you get out to pump gas. Even if you shut the car off before opening the door, it will do this.

Be careful there, mine did. Shortly after I got my '05 coupe, it locked with the fob in the cupholder and the engine running - with me OUT of the car. Fortunately I was at home so I ran inside for the extra fob. After that, I disabled the passive locking.

The "3 beeps will also occur at the car wash when the y leave a vette in neutral. Yes,. sometimes on trips, I do allow dumb kids to wash and dry my vette, but I do tell them to use clean drying/wipedown cloths if they want a decent tip
