Reflecting on Machine Silver
Fans of Machine Silver C6 'Vettes like the look, but have to admit that the darker colors (Black, LeMans Blue, Monterey Red) do a great job of reflecting the environment to emphasize the smoothness and depth of the shine.
So I was pleasantly surprised as I was cleaning the Florida bugs of the front of my convertible, after returning from the Sebring Race, and putting another coat of Rejex on, that the sun, the palms, and the orientation were just right to let Machine Silver strut its stuff.
So, fellow Machine Silver owners, don't let those other colors claim any superiority to ours.
I certainly do appreciate the different colors of the Corvettes. When seeing them in a group setting, well, one can only say how sharp they are.
My last Vette was a red, time for a change and really do like the silver. It shines up nice, does not show the dirt as easily and when clean, you cannot help but appreciate the beautiful lines of the car.
My MS has served me well - lots of thumbs up here in Porscheville. One of the true low maintence colors. If I had the time and money a stunning yellow vette would be a nice addition. Problem is there is nothing more ugly than a dirty yellow Vette!

I was at the Corvette Corral at Sebring on Friday and Saturday. Friday was a rainy mess, but Saturday was a beautiful sunny day. The field was filled with mostly C5 and C6 'Vettes. A few C4's, one C3, about 4 C2's and about 3 C1's. EVERY COLOR of C5 and C6 looked great, but the yellow ones really jumped out in the sunshine.
A Corvette is a Corvette regardless of the color. That's the beauty! We may all have different tastes in color, but we all have the good taste to be driving a C6!
my silver vert, really makes me feel good, weather im just staring at it, as it sits in the garage, waiting for the snow to melt, or if im behind the wheel, driving down the highway, soon i hope. 200 miles on it, and i cant wait to hit 500 miles, so i can see what she can do. plus the silver, matches the sides of my hair. maybe wednesday, i can release her from the garage...
I have had all kinds of colors on cars, love almost all,. but it comes down to matience time,. and washing is maitience. i prefer driving.
silver just shows dirt less. the black color was the worst, it looked filtey after 1 day of driving, but it sure looked beautiful on the showroom floor.
