Can anyone tell me if there is any early word on changes for the 2008 Corvette from the 2007 model? Any recent threads on this you can direct me to? Perhaps it is too early? Thanks.
2 new colors, 2 new interior options that no one can figure out, optional 10 spoke wheels, a 4LT package that no one can explain, new engine w/ 20-30hp boost, new manual transmission. Thats the big stuff. Nothing official until the end of next month.

5 WEEKS TO GO FOR THE UNVAILING AT THE C-5/C-6
BASH AT NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM! YOU WILL KNOW ALL
THE NEW MODs!!! AND COLORS
LOL, well new wheels and new engines are easy. But W.T.H. is an interior "WRAP". And the car is already so full of electronics that I can't imagine it possible for them to add enough stuff to warrant another package. My first thought on that was that they were simply repackaging what they already have, make the 4LT what the 3LT is now, and make the 3LT basically todays 2LT w/ a HUD. But then I woke up.
I find it unlikely that they would DECONTENT any of their option packages, but I can't imagine what else they could add to the car! We will see.
I also noted on january 1st...a new axle option for the automtaic, this should be interesting!
I'll be on location or EVS during the bash....trying to gfit in that dinner the night before with Rick Hendricks, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson..
whoooo hoooo.
My personal site will be up by then and we'll have as we did last year..AWESOME PICTURES FOR ALL TO ENJOY and teh RIGHT information regarding 2008 changes!

We will be looking forward to Rick's reports "from the front" at the end of April.
At the Corvette Corral at the Sebring race this weekend, one of Tom Wallace's engineers told us, with Tom standing right there, that there will NOT be displacement on demand on the 2008 Corvette. The explanation given is that with the transmission at the rear axle, divorced from the engine, there was a resonance created on the 8 to 4, or the 4 to 8 transition that could not be engineered out.
Absolutely good news. But I never thought they would do that. Something not right about a Corvette with DOD. In fact, if they did that I would not buy one. I think the value of pre DOD cars would immediately increase.
