Is the process the same on the 2007 as the other c6's?
I go the engine light today and tried the ignition on, old the options button and then hit the fuel button 4 times....
You must be thinking about the C5s, not the C6s. The process you described doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard anyone do with a C6. As far as I've heard, you can't retrieve a code with the C6s unless you've got a code reader.
What GM should have done, those of us with Nav systems, included a page display of the codes and references to possible casues. Should have been relatively easy to do via software.

Certainly would have been an improvment to their POS Nav system. I might have even considered it.

Oh that would have been sweet to be able to use the Nav screen to view and read code related info.
BTW this is the code reader I bought and use. Best $65 you can spend. Third one from top - http://www.diydiagnostics.com/

Not at the 2 Wally Worlds near me. And I can't find it on their web site. Any idea what model it was? Best price I've found so far is about $100 for a limited reader and $120 for complete info.
